I think one of the reasons I enjoy art so much is because I love to think. That thinking may be about art form itself, but it ranges more broadly to include literature, philosophy, history, and theology, all of which can find expression in visual form.
I have always enjoyed creating, whether that be coloring, crocheting, jewelry making, or portraiture. In high school I was fascinated by the human face and how billions of people in the world can possess the same essential features but still retain distinct expressions.
This interest led me to Cedarville University where while I was majoring in Studio Art, my interests broadened to portray my own personal experience of the divine in my work. My most recent work (In the Quiet 1-2) has dealt with experiencing God within the loneliness and isolation of the mundane.
